I was praying Dhuhur when suddenly 'Paper Heart' song was heard from my Sony. I didn't have any clue who called me at that time, and just continued my pray. It was quite hot outside my boarding house, thinking about it's usually rain on afternoon. I checked my screen phone and it was my father called me. I waited him to called me again for some minutes, but he didn't. So i called gave him misscalled so that he called me back again.
And finally, "Assalamu'alaikum..." i said.
It was 6.30 am and i'd been on my grandmother's house already. Like always. With my cutie-green kindergarden uniform, i waved my hands toward my father and mother, that had been ready to started the engine, left me for work. Like always. At 8 am, i was already at my kinderganden with my grandmother accompaning me. She always sit on the bench near the enter door of my class. Very near, that i always could see her from my desk during the class. My kind-hearted grandmother. She used to come inside the class towards me, and help me lift the desk. When i was feeling like lazy to bring my own bag, she would bring it for me. She used to hold my hands tighly on the way to kinderganden and home, always. She walked calmly and i jumped here and there, still holding her hands, maked her body swayed, and sometimes overbalance. But she's never mad. At her house, i always eat her cook for lunch, after went home from kinderganden.
It was about 11 pm, and i'd been on my grandmother's house. My father picked me from my elementary school and took me to my grandmother's house, since there are no one in my house because my parents still had to continue their work. My grandmother used to call a street vendor that passed through in front of the house, to buy me some snack. That's why i used to drink jamu! She used to buy me an ice cream cone that my father rarely buy for me.
It was weekend and i used to sleep over my grandmother's house. Sometimes she asked me to, but sometimes it's just because i wanted to. Grandmother and grandfather would feel very happy when they heard that i was going to sleep over their house. She sometimes cooked me a Sarimi noodle with boiled egg. Here was the rules... two packs of Sarimi noodle with the portion: one pack served for my grandfather and each half for my grandmother and I. We ate together in front of tv, watched my grandmother's fave Indonesian drama series. My grandmother used to feel sleepy earlier than me, so i just follow her to the bedroom. My grandmother's bedroom is the biggest room in this house. There are five rooms for only two person inside this house. My grandfather's room was different room with my grandmother's one. And, when i slept over their house, i used to slept on my grandmother's room. She had an old style bedstead. It's a bed with a valance on it. It's a princess bedstead, she said. Everyone who sleep there, will have a good sleep because there will no mosquitos bothering. Before we took a set, we used to cash away the mosquitos with something like broom stick inside the valance so that it could get out from the valance. Both of us slept tightly.
"Waalaikumsalam, Ya. I want to tell you something", my father said. It was so rare that my father called me on this kind of time. He usually calls me on evening. "Grandfather just passed away this afternoon, please pray for him."
It's a year plus a week after the day of my grandmother passed away. I felt so loss after my grandmother passed away, and today the only one left, my grandfather, just followed her.
I just imagine about the empty house on my grandparent's, where we used to be there making good memories. I love you - 17/02/2016
